A distinctive sound
Music on vinyl has very special and, for us, very important traits: It has greater dynamics, it sounds livelier and it has a larger volume range. The analogue recording allows for a wider frequency spectrum and playback without compression losses. Harmonic distortions that create artificial overtones grant vinyl more brilliance in higher frequencies and, in the case of overmodulated recordings, a smoother clipping can achieve a softer sound. Also, music on vinyl has more pressure due to mild compression effects.
Art & culture
Music is art, culture and therapy. It has an effect on the heartbeat, blood pressure, respiratory rate and muscle tension. Music is one of humanity’s oldest cultural assets: whether in history or the present, music has always been an essential part of every culture.
Rare works of art
Vinyl is art and culture: the covers are big and, more often than not, wonderful art pieces. It is not uncommon for these to become rare collector items. With the appropriate care and the right storage conditions, the life of vinyl records is almost unlimited. Moreover, with every vinyl record you get a piece of musical history.
